Took me long enough to get out of my PTSDD, but regardless of what people think, and harass me about. I'm still planning on trying to DM a Star Trek TTRPG one shot for my parents. seeing if they like it, and seeing if I do.
They like card games, table games. Why not try TTRPG.

Its teaching the newer generations that gun violence is funny, cool, and accepted.

It got me too, cause I was hoping to repair stuff. But now the items are stuck in a delay cycle. And I'm like. 🙃
CMP stopped working too, banks, everything went down this morning. It was crazy.
But you know, more tech!, I guess.

Well, yet another day of the items for my parents laptop being pushed back. Shipment delays left and right.
It's not like I'm trying to get the laptops repaired and upgraded and back to them ASAP or anything. 🙃

Brought my Linux laptop to parents, they were amazed by how fast it was on older laptops, and how it easily connected to their old printer.
Needless to say, one laptop turned into can you do both.
And yes, they asked how much, and I just told them merry Christmas.
That and I fixed their phones.

also, so. I used google searches and web browsing to find out how to do it. I'm not currently willing to dive into the hole of coding stuff that big to open things and do things. I could if I wanted to, but rn I'm like, meh.

I made a small app thing for Linux that opens terminal and inputs commands. My father was asking about how I got an older laptop to run fast, and I'm pretty sure they'll be asking me to do theirs too. So I made a little desktop app that does updates, in case that time does come when they ask me.

When your job cuts your hours and pay and you're like 🙃

Just barely pays the bills now. But I guess that's enough? 🤷‍♂️

Not going to lie, I think replace a hard drive with an SSD in my 13 year old laptop, and formatting it to Linux was probably the best move for it. Holy heck.
LibreOffice is awesome too!
I still want to jokingly try to use it for work, and enter one of the online meetings with it. 😂🤣

This weekend I get to upgrade my PC. Definitely going to take some time doing it. But it's definitely ready for a big ol upgrade.
(And this time, not installing apps I had since college and never used since.)

In a world where things are expensive and apparently needing subscriptions, I'm going from programs to open-source free alternatives.

Imma have to check this out once I'm home in a few hours. 👀
