ADHD memories must work differently. I just ran into a guy that I completely forgot about from when I was 18. That memory drawer unlocked and they all came vividly back. The dude had no idea what I was talking about when I was referencing shitty behaviors he had from 20 years ago.

We need more of this energy.

Sadly a lot of us freeze in these situations, so it’s not always a viable option.

Rioting in the streets dude. Us yelling at officials via the internet who are sitting on their hands is doing jack shit. We have to be willing to actually fight or we are going to lose.

As a single millennial extrovert who works remotely and lives alone the lack of phone talk culture makes me die inside.

As a Texan from a very blue Dallas, yes. I very much want that. Texas is ONLY red due to severe gerrymandering and the country counties. The major city population is blue and the outer burbs are purple. If you look at a map of our voting districts they are insane.

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

As a Millennial, we read 1984, Heart of Darkness, Night, Animal Farm, Their Eyes Were Watching God, I know Why the Caged Bird Sings and Brave New World in my high school English classes. Grew up watching Ferngully, Free Willy, E.T. - all preaching safety for all life. I was always gonna give a damn.

The administration is scrubbing government sites of anything about trans people. This is an attempt to erase them as a class of people with constitutional protections. And we all know they won’t stop there. Once done they will go after the LGB as well and anyone else they hate. Resist.

We need to try and not have breakdowns as much as possible.

They are banned from school libraries and classrooms. Most of these books were once required reading for students and now are banned from schools instead. Our govt cant ban books completely from the adult public. Violates 1st amendment. They have tried though.

Go to the library instead! Amazon is part of the problem, sadly. They donated so much money to Trump.

I’m probably between Critical and Traitor - I speak out and back in public settings but I can’t think of any institutions I’ve changed. I refuse to be part of the system. I started near the top, raised in a conservative family, so proud of my journey! Gotta keep educating myself!

The Giver was the first book that told me to question authority. I read it very young and it made me hungry for other books like it. It put me on a path of pushing back on a govt that told me to throw away ppl on the edges of society for not conforming to their standards. It stuck.
