The man in the van is my friend’s neighbor - he was detained in the alley behind their homes this morning. Lots of schools in the area on soft lockdown throughout the school day, too. This is fucked up. #fuckice

Chicagoan here - I agree with what you’re saying and pray that the guards people are as respectful to us as we are to them. However, more people in uniforms carrying weapons is terrifying all of us here. Especially our kids - all they see are people with guns walking our streets.
