He deserves part of the blame for the redistricting fail in NY, but remember that Hochul had to be harangued into appointing a judge that would overturn the maps, and even then, the legislature opted not to draw a better map.

Why isn’t this guy speaker instead of mealy mouthed Jeffries? This is how it’s done.

At some point they will have to swear her in, so all they’re doing is putting off the inevitable

By all rights, Ciattarelli should be winning in NJ: He’s running a better campaign than Sherrill, people are pissed off about property taxes (they’re always pissed off about property taxes in NJ) and Phil Murphy is unpopular. Yet Sherrill is on track to win, albeit not by as much as she should be.

The filibuster is not a law, it is an arcane senate rule that has long outlasted its usefulness. Good riddance.

Good. They will own the entire budget debacle, and the Democrats get a filibuster free Senate when they regain power.

George Romney’s parents were living in a polygamist colony in Mexico when he was born, so I guess it’s not outside the realm of possibility. Although he seemed like a pretty straight guy.

The main obstacle being the 22nd amendment to the constitution, which clearly states there is no case for a third term.

You ever use a urinal and there’s that one pubic hair hanging on the edge of it? I for one welcome not having to see that.

Candidate quality matters. Sherrill is running a middling campaign, Ciattarelli is running a good campaign. Contrast that with Spanberger, who is running an excellent campaign, running against a complete loon, Sears. Sherrill will win in spite of herself because it’s a very good year for Democrats

If all it took was an unknown who didn’t even live in the district to announce a primary against a 13 term incumbent to make them to drop out, then either Schakowsky was a pretty weak candidate to begin with, or Abughazeleh is a stronger candidate than we thought.

I’m pointing out other successful politicians, including ones that we admire, did what Abughazaleh is doing right now. Hillary Clinton, anyone? Do you think she moved to NY for her health?
30.10.2025 01:22 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Schakowsky is retiring, so she’s not running against an incumbent.

I think it’s more that Stone knows if Trump could run for a third term, so could Obama, and he knows Obama would crush Trump.

My father was in the hospital for his leukemia. He ate a bowl of oatmeal and went into a coma shortly after, and died three days later.
Oatmeal is obviously bad for you.

Why do you keep voting to approve Trump’s judges? I think you need to explain yourself to your constituents.

For starters, VD nor Rubio are going to win anything, and if the Democrats are in control of the House after the 2028 election, which is more than likely, that ain’t gonna happen.

It’s because he knows if somehow SCOTUS were to rule he could run for a third term, that would mean Obama could run too, and he knows Obama would crush him in an election.
