Meanwhile, I'm seeing the Magic Judge program(s) struggle as a shadow of their former self because of the distance put between them and their publisher for ultimately selfish legal reasons. I've known better times, and I strive to bring them at every event I'm at. Curious whether we'll get there.

Discourse on the pricing (and prizing) of large TCG events and the performance of judges is really getting to me recently. Replies are full of "go play <other games>!" and "<publisher> is way better" and meanwhile the Magic community wants more than ever while playing less than ever. Exhausting.
