So if he were publishing a paper in Germany in 1932, he would want both social democrats and Nazi sympathizers on his editorial board. This is the precise implication he makes.

Reality is subjective, but journalism that is free to ignore established facts and history and tries to appease everyone is not journalism. Like history, journalism does not exist to comfort us. It exists to chart a course through perspectives to arrive at a lucid perspective grounded in facts.

1. Dems have lost *at least* some interest in and focus on labor and the working class.
2. A lot of meaningful things they would do or have tried to do to help have been by Republicans because they would marginally hurt their rich friends.

At the end of the day, you still have to explain why some of America’s most industrial unions didn’t endorse Dems in 2024, or couldn’t because their membership was so pro-Trump. Be honest.

This new regime. Pretty idiosyncratic and self canceling?Tariffs on every import. I’m trying to imagine the additional bureaucracy large enough to implement - let alone enforce - that which the DOGE commandos wouldn’t want to chop to pieces. Doesn’t make them less dangerous, but I have questions.

Why I Just Resigned From The Los Angeles Times By Harry Litman

Read this powerful statement by Harry Litman, explaining his resignation as the senior legal analyst for the Los Angeles Times. I have watched the Times sink to second rate status. Harry’s departure suggest it is quickly becoming a red rag in a blue state.

Adair, Iowa, had a population of 794. So, it seemed suspicious when its three-person police department asked regulators to buy 90 machine guns, including an M134 Gatling-style minigun capable of shooting up to 6,000 rounds of ammunition every minute.
Federal agents later discovered Adair's police chief, Bradley Wendt, was using his position to acquire weapons and sell them for personal profit. A jury convicted Wendt earlier this year of conspiracy to defraud the United States, lying to federal law enforcement and illegal possession of a machine gun.
Wendt is unapologetic and has appealed his conviction.
"If I'm guilty of this, every cop in the nation's going to jail," Wendt told CBS News just days before a federal judge sentenced him to a 5-year prison term.
Wendt's crimes appear to be part of a nationwide pattern.

β€œDemocrats have so deeply divided the country with their belief in democracy and the rule of law, only Donald Trump’s famous love, compassion and praise of Hitler can save it. But first Biden must excuse his well-intentioned textbook corruption and attempt to send Congress to sleep with the fishes.”

I’m guessing this party concerned about gender affirming treatment - whose leader told people to inject bleach to cure Covid - that is rabidly anti-science - is not acting in good faith.

Yes and no. Many would.
But (R) are only a couple seats up in both Houses. And some of them still believe in elections they could lose.
Would the people let Congress let Trump get away with this, also a question.

South Korea rn is what it looks like when people see democracy as a fragile thing that needs to be defended by all means necessary, and not as their inevitable birthright as citizens of an exceptional nation

The urgency has always been the thing for me with Dems. Where is it? I get conservative obstruction and not having full control, but overall they don’t even speak routinely with a sense of gravity that has been needed to meet the moment for a decade or two.

Textbook Nazi. If this is real.
Never forget the Nazis were inspired by the racist caste system of the American South (this is well documented).

Demonizing colleges, private schools, bibles in classrooms, crazy curriculum, CRT hysteria, book banning, and no DoE (i.e no minimum or collective standards) all work together. A major part of the plan is to make Americans too stupid to know the difference.

Will blaming Biden, Democrats and elites (besides himself and his friends and his administration) for his own policies work?
My gut feeling is no. Only about 30% of voters voted for him. And not all of those are followers.
