I can greet people, say “thank you”, and can say who I am and where I’m from, but that’s about it. Swahili is a part of the Bantu language family that – through a series of migrations that happened between about 6,000 and 1,500 years ago – transformed the African continent linguistically and resulted in Bantu languages being spoken in West, Central, East, and South Africa.

I’m not a big fan of Bluesky. I don’t see the point and all I want is already there on the Fediverse/Mastodon. But many people enjoy Bluesky. Some of those are really good and smart people. I agree with a lot of the points that Cory Doctorow makes in this piece.
