Up for auction this weekend are a pair of thick Rubber Rex boots.
These are based on a fantastic digital sculpt created for me by Forgemane many years ago.

I'm using 'White spirit', AKA 'low dry point mineral spirits'
Which is your basic paint brush cleaner type stuff.
Bostik cleaner is just evil.

My paranoia faded when I discovered how hard it is to unglue a seam when you actually want to ;)

I'm also using some fairly gentle solvent. I can't understand people who insist on using rocket fuel to clean rubber - Not only will that stuff give you a wicked headache, it's way too aggressive.

And, inch by inch, we become a little more shiny.

The pawpads are light pink.

Yes, it can be hard to tell, owing to how mind mindbogglingly, retina searingly, nuclear pink the rest of the paw is.

The handpaws go all the way up the wearers arm to the shoulder. They are very large, very silly, and VERY pink.

Paws are shown unpolished - They'll be polished before sending off, but I wanted to leave the buyer the option to add decals such as toe dividers.

Do a search on ebay or amazon for "10mm plastic check valve"
Their one way air valves letting you inflate the paws on yourself. Just yank them out with your teeth when your done.

Not even remotely I'm afraid.
The raar feet are not dipped like the hoods are, and its the dipping that is needs all the precise climate control, time and space.

Something special about sculpting your own personal character. To make them seem real you have to think about how they got here. How various details grow and form over their structure. Maybe a deep cut tells a story, or maybe how various scales and spikes develop over time. Just fun to ponder

I have dark grey rubber - I could just laser cut that and use it for toe lines.

Their without toe lines, only because a friend said they look better like that. I think its a personal preference kinda thing.

But yeah, certainly could.

I did actually buy the fancy paid auction software with snipe protection and proxy bidding...

But then I realized that I'd actually have to actually install the better software on the website.. and A) I'm not good at that stuff and B) I'm too busy making rubber stuff.

They are massive inside - 21cm wide and 36cm long
The rubber inflates around the foot to hold it snugly.
