god yeah this exactly. i remember staring at the dragon age character creator for so long, trying and failing again and again and again to make a character i could relate to on any level re: their body. the whole thing left me feeling very dysphoric and miserable and uninterested in playing the game

anyway im ngl the fact that you can much more easily find d&d themed d20 pins and such at the pride craft market than like, anything with the trans or lesbian symbols on it has me feeling a certain kind of way

The result is that people now view transition as entirely cosmetic, as optional, as a matter of "free expression" that is perhaps unfortunate to curb but not ultimately life-threatening.

Even when describing the danger to trans lives, it's always in terms of suicides. They think we're hysterical.

"No one thinks trans people change sex", "women can be male", "gender affirming care", "GRS"--so much trans politics has been developing euphemistic language to soothe the understanding of cis people, even "supportive" "allies", in a way that preserves "sex" as an immutable category.

I'd propose 'dykecore' as a tag for actual lesbian fiction where no woman ever expresses any attraction to men, but with censorship concerns I guess we'd have to go with 'true-lily' lmao
