I think Smith is treading on dangerous ground with all her comments which seem to a continuation of the harassment Dr Upton has already suffered for living and working.

15.02.2026 13:45 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The BBC are really not interested in finding out the answers with these interviews. If they were they would interview a subject matter experts.
15.02.2026 09:19 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Also probably add, litigation by individuals ie someone taking their employer to court.
Changing the EA2010
Plan b, for me remains on the cards anyway because reform or tories will crap on us, should they get in government
The least bad, I suppose feels better, but your still being put down and made to feel guilty.
14.02.2026 20:28 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oh no, thats tough. I'm in South Scotland, no chance of a mow here
14.02.2026 20:23 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0You never see them, they never see you. They could change the form, but yeah wouldn't be surprised under todays crap
14.02.2026 20:20 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yours or theirs? Maybe suspecting not yours given the Bbritish weather right now
14.02.2026 17:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0As it is for transgender people, but I suspect they are not some poeple you care about
Transphobia is the Patriarchy in Drag. Beware of them they are coming for our bodily autonomy
The court decision in GLP vs EHRC seems to have been designed, and I am cynical, to make sure that service provider businesses do not suffer financial loss that puts them out of business.
Coincidentally, exactly what Labour backbenchers complained about to Bridget Phillipson.
Are courts impartial?
I know you're trying to do your best for the trans community, but I am deeply disappointed by the rest of the backbenchers. This is clearly a travesty in law, but I hear of no rebellion. The government I am not surprised about. Legislation to change the EA is the only reason I will ever vote Labour.
13.02.2026 21:53 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0How can the 1992 regulations not take into account a GRC, since they were enacted before it?
13.02.2026 21:37 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Why do, the most marginalised people, the trans community, who have never done anyone harm, have to constantly suffer because of the lies told by the least maginalise community, and most vastly wealthy right wing groups, rich white abusive men, who always do harm?
A sickness called Labour or Reform
Have you started a funder for the appeal to which we can contribute?
13.02.2026 20:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0I don't understand how these things work. But if the EHRC guidance was wrong why does GLP have to costs?
13.02.2026 19:05 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah forcing/persuading someone to break the law (i.e. their oath) may lead to them breaking the law themselves
13.02.2026 16:53 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The GRC panel won't see that level of detail. You'll need 2 years of different documentary evidence with your change name on it, for about every 3 months of those two years. Bank letters, utilities, passport, doctors etc. They'll never know which toilets your forced to use
13.02.2026 16:46 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0As the GRA came after the 1992 regs does that mean for those regs that certified sex is still valid for those regs?
13.02.2026 15:00 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This might not be legalise, but as far as I am concerned you took the oath to live as you gender for the rest of your life. If you don't then could you be protected?
13.02.2026 14:57 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think the #reform party is made up of vile individuals. Disgusting
13.02.2026 09:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Here we go again. Whatever happens we are together ❤️
12.02.2026 22:39 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It's just blatent lies as usual. The UK public need be told the actual truth by the media, and I include the BBC in that. Without truth and science, not religious ideology, reporting is not knowledge, just opinion.
The BBC needs to go, a public broadcaster that lies does not deserve the name.
Personally I think they are all on the take, as well as a very nice salary that are other average worker would dream of.
My preference, no license fee and adverts. I would have not have saidvthat 10 years ago but we'vehad the partygate toies since and one of the most corrupt toriesKemi Badenoch.g
Labour does not care if women and girls die as a result of its disgusting anti trans policies. I challenge them right now to say that their policies will not result in trans deaths or to admit liability. Wes Streeting is cupable imop.

Totally disgusting again. Cass is less than an expert regards trans people and as you says an anti trans implant. Who knows, was Badenoch being paid to appoint her. Wouldn't be a stretch for the Tories.
The slur about the Scottish government is shocking the grr was rightly passed overwhelmingly.
There is a consultation underway right now in Scotland about that very thing.
Even if you are in England or Wales please contribute. It's really impotant
See Scottish Trans website
And little doubt that it will go much deeper. Its barely believable. Thank you so mush for this investigation!

12.02.2026 14:22 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It's ironic and annoying that legislation that was originally designed to root out misogyny, should chose to use wording that is in itself misogynistic and against most womens idea of feminism.
12.02.2026 10:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Well that would be a start, but I would hate that it would save him. He's as bad as the Tories, and only slightly better than #NaziFarage IMHO.
BTW the Farage surname seems to be of Hungarian origin according to the dubious Web. So maybe he'll have to deport himself. What a dork!
Not unless the one we are all waiting for surfaces!
