For the vast majority of people it is. The decision today brings clarity to a confusing array of legislation about what defines 'a woman's & the implications for single sex spaces while still protecting transpeople from discrimination. It's a good outcome.

Although I am confident that Bishop Graham would have made a good Archbishop, I'm pleased to think that he will remain in Norwich. Let's pray for him as he helps select the next Archbishop. 🙏 Being ABC is a difficult task but 'tongue in cheek' I think +Graham might have 'dodged a bullet' here. 😂

Thanks for your kind words & understanding. Just because someone needs 24 hour palliative care as my mother did, doesn't need to mean that they lose their dignity. As an Anglican Vicar who has supported many vulnerable people in their last days I am very concerned about the possibility of coercion.

I also watched my mother who had dementia & liver & kidney failure die only last month after a long & protracted illness, but not once was there any thought that she should be spared her pain or die early. She valued her life & we valued every moment with her. Good palliative care is the answer.

If we had better quality palliative care then perhaps people wouldn't want to end their lives. Time is precious.
