I can’t say I have heard an actual Charlie Kirk speech or debate but one thing is clear- he embraced freedom of speech and healthy debate. Those talking about punishing anyone who criticizes him are traitors to the first amendment, a bedrock of our freedom. Censorship is the opposite of patriotism.

Though it may not always seem this way—given the Trump regime’s daily desecration of the Constitution—the rule of law still reigns supreme.

The dismantling of this concentration camp is a win for democracy, for the environment, and for all communities cruelly and unjustly targeted by this regime.

Also- while I see there are national protests planned on 9/1, it’s Labor Day and many who might want to show up have long weekend plans! Sounds ridiculous given what’s happening but people still need fun & turnout likely will be higher Sat. 9/6. And we should be organizing weekly protests anyway.

It’s great to see this DC protest taking shape but like the No Kings protest, we need folks in every city and town to stand up for democracy. Can the #50501movement help seed and encourage marches everywhere so every American upset about what’s happening has a forum to show solidarity with DC?

Agree- this is so insightful. Best theory I’ve heard for understanding goal of Trump actions is simple: to expand Trump’s power. Key insight from Murphy that the private sector is another check on presidential power. And tariffs are a way to wield more control of other countries AND companies.
