I have watched the Pilot and Thin Ice over and over, and Oxygen some..

that's interesting. 12 and 13 are my favorite docs of this century, and I have watched almost all of their stories more than ten times each, but not these (I think the finale is great but it's also too painful and sad to watch, so that doesn't help.)

there's no rhyme or reason. today we picked the worst of a mediocre lot (my opinion only) - who knows why?

I wish I could! I don't think I've turned anyone vegan in the ten years I have been. Definitely have some people thinking more about their choices, but it's very hard to battle a whole industry with lobbyists and advertising budgets. still I think keeping the topic alive is important.

With all the whining about exposition (which is definitely there and often irritating). I sometimes think a lot of some folks' trouble with 13 is that it's too subtle or nuanced. How can anyone say that this is the Doctor "not caring" about Graham?

This one has stayed with me because 13 haters won't stfu about this moment. I think it's brilliant.

I don't mind at all when people who overall love her (like you & me) say, "yeah, this part didn't really work for me". Just anyone who has to say, "oh I really like this part, it's the only time in her entire run she seems like the Doctor" or whatever. Like OKAY your view is quite well represented.

I stopped in the middle and need to get back to it. I much prefer these episodes when there isn't someone who doesn't like Jodie in them, even when they're pretty much polite. We've just heard every possible thing that someone could think is wrong with her a gagillion times
