8+ years as a Community College Prof. and I've been seeing something a bit different this year as well. Started last year with a bit better attendance, participation, and grades than the past few years. This year the recent grads seem more...aware? Present? More something.

I like to "rescue" Louis Bromfield books when I see them. I hate seeing them on shelves, forgotten. I grew up going to Malabar Farm, Bromfields home near Mansfield Ohio where he was a successful experimental farmer and the Hollywood elite used to visit. (Bogart and Bacall were married there!)
