Oh I forgot my elder brother had bought Stan Tracey’s Under Milk Wood so I heard that in my early teens and loved it.

It was a New Town (Cwmbran) and there were often cultural events that you wouldn’t get elsewhere. Rendell/Carr also played but I missed that one somehow 🤷‍♂️

Very sad news they were real pioneers. An incredible album that I first encountered via this CBS sampler way back in the 60’s. The hip local bands used to cover many of the tracks on here but strangely never The USA track 🤣
