I'm somewhat hopeful that the actual perfect storm here is not just a republican president, but one that is selling offices to the highest bidder. I don't think there's highest level ideology here beyond "he paid me for the position" and "I get a stake in the dewormer sales". 1/2

There is no non-terrifying explanation for the 'need' to literally warehouse tens of thousands of people.

With not a peep from the attention hog that loves seeing his name slapped on anything successful. "Put that back, it shows how great I'm doing!"... yeah, nope, *crickets*. Fine, fine, nothing to see here, move along. Taping over the 'check engine' light always ends well.

This. "A nice breakfast" is an *occasion*. Breaking fast on a work day is "whatevs I have around that I can snarf on the way out the door because I needed time to shower and or 'over'sleep", which has been the case for most of human history. "Oops, dawn, gotta feed the stock and work the fields!".

I think he's dumb enough to admit to violating his oath of office. Not that there appears to be anyone left to enforce consequences for it.

The unskippable intro and tutorial was annoying by the second playthrough! What I missed was that "go to that tower, newbie; do something about the *dragon* attacking it" was load-bearing. Until done, no dragon related events trigger anywhere and the character's signature attack isn't enabled yet.

But *10,000* hours? That's easily an order of magnitude over what I've ever put into games I've *completed* and *played through again*! Yeah, that's... a lot of free time.
