Thomasina and Septimus's end is one of the most emotional things Stoppard's ever written, for me. (Yes, more than Shakespeare in Love.) That was Lucy Whybrow and Edward Atterton for me, to give an idea of how long ago it was.

I love the play so much but I'm not sure anyone could replace Roger Allam's Bernard in my memory of it!

got jumpscared by the audiobook of A Stroke Of The Pen - while it's a delight to hear the stories read by so many fabulous people, it was highly unpleasant to hear the introduction by Neil Gaiman and read by Neil Gaiman. Should have expected it, I suppose, but I didn't, for some reason.
