#1 Mamá's Magnificent Dancing Plantitas written by Jesús Trejo and illustrated by Eliza Kinkz. SO relatable as the kid that was appointed as the plant caregiver while mom was out. I loved how the plants had their own personalities that matched their food/watering needs!

I read this as a read aloud right before winter break during a grade school reading support program and the kids were all begging to take it home. Grown ups and kids were laughing the whole way through.

#3 Pig Town Party written and illustrated by Lian Cho. Absolutely delightful and totally appeals to my weirdo inner child with a dual pig dimension!!! Must read.
No #library updates for 2024 other than I was apart of intense labor negotiations that led to a big win for our union including a double digit raise over 3 years, the possibility of double time, and after the contract vote two months later, 4 weeks paid parental leave - a first for our region!
