Exactly! It's so freeing. Most of my usual art mediums/ techniques centre on gradual layering and a lot of blending, whereas gouache you just kinda put where you want it and. There it is it already looks good.

It's so good to see you having fun with gouache! I opened my jelly gouache set for the first time in years yesterday too! Just for a composition/colour thumbnail but it worked so well I'm kind of tempted to use them properly again.
