The president of the United States thinks asylum-seekers come from mental asylums.

On the top of the North Yorkshire Moors, which is an extensive plateau, there is very little to see except miles of heather moorland (or a 'grouse museum' to paraphrase @georgemonbiot.bsky.social ) but occasionally, something stands out.

I got out in the Big Woods for one last go at Fall Color with my Nikon D700 and two vintage lenses, the Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 and 105mm f/2.5, both Ai-S. I've had trouble getting photos of the tamarack trees with fall color. The 105mm helped me pick this one out from across the bog.
