I had to turn off news alerts during work hours because every tidbit of info caused a limbic brain anger response that made getting any work done impossible. Also, my office is next to HR and I’m loud.

Overseeing a corporate security program teaches you that violence follows people into work from home. When you’re meeting with your team, don’t assume everything is fine. Many of us are not fine. Some more than others. Be kind first. Create a space for people to be human.
