05.08.2025 02:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It was all right. I give it 3.75/5. It hit all the right buttons for me emotionally (I'm a sucked for lonely and snarky). I feel like everything was kind of shallow, though, because there's a lot happening, but the story doesn't dive too deeply into them.
02.08.2025 23:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0SO good. And not a favorite, no. I picked each one up for a specific reason, and 5 of them made me have Emotions. π₯°π₯°π₯°
I AM freakin' excited to continue Annette Marie's series, though. I'm already listening to the next one AND I have the first two in other branches of her stories, too. π€£
A graphic with six books in two stacks of three: Paladin's Faith by T Kingfisher, Two Witches and a Whiskey by Annette Marie, Demon Magic and a Martini by Annette Marie, A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers, and A Daddy for Christmas: Brighton by T.L. Travis. Between the books is a white box that says My July Reads.
I read six things in July! That's the most I've read in a month in YEARS!!!! ππ
I enjoyed most of these, some more than others. Only one left me thinking, "I could have lived without that one."
Have you read any of these? What'd you think? Or do you want to read them? #booksky #reading #July
I recently finished A Psalm for the Wild-Built!!! It made me cry, and just got the sequel today π₯°
02.08.2025 20:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Discovered last week that two books I enjoyed got sequels. Went to the bookstore today to get them. For those interested, they were The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst, and A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers.
Happy reading, y'all!!!! ππππ

I found a new book series that I'm obsessed with: The Guild Codex by Annette Marie... I just realized that there are other books outside Spellbound and I'm SO DAMN EXCITED to have this many books to add to my TBR ππ

25.06.2025 21:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All in all, fantastic characters, great pace, and fabulous story. I already picked up the next one at the library. I'm so excited to have found this. π₯°
10.06.2025 13:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One is definitely vying for the top spot, but the way things are, it kind of left me curious as to whether he'll be the ACTUAL boyfriend at the end. For now, I'm left squinting at them like, "What the dudes doing?"

There's some romance, but that part moves pretty slow. Even so, it works. I'm also not 100% sure who the actual love interest is. There's three contenders.
The pacing was great. It's fast, but it works so well. It hooked me, and towed me along like an excited friend, dashing from beat to beat with me giggling and cackling all the way. It had on the edge of my seat trying to anticipate what's next, too. At one point, I got trapped in my car, listening
10.06.2025 13:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For those who remember, no, this wasn't in my TBR jar. It was something I read bc I needed comps. π
ANYWAY. Our main character, Tori, is witty, and fierce, and so fed up with service work. As a former food court employee, I sympathize. The story was the perfect blend of funny, intriguing, & action.
Good morning, y'all! Finally getting around to posting my thoughts about the books I read last month. π #BookSky
The first book: Three Mages and a MargaritaΒ by Annette Marie
βοΈ4.5/5
Lemme just say that this was FANTASTIC and I absolutely loved this book! I got it as an audiobook from the library.
I have a hard time keeping my ideas small, so this will probably help. I'm going to give it a shot! π
Sending you good writing mojo today!
This does look like a lot of fun
08.06.2025 02:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I read 3 books last month! I haven't read three books in a month in years. I'm so happy!!! I'll post about those individually later, when I have more time.
Looking forward to seeing what I can do in June!
Hello, #writingcommunity !!! Time for an update on last month's happenings...

I'm proud of what I've accomplished! I submitted my novel to 2 publishing houses and got one rejection. Still waiting on the other one.
You created a whole ass account to call someone out on bad behavior. If the abuse and maligning is as prolific as you say, you should have had your receipts ready up front. It sounds like you're scrambling to fabricate evidence, or you're just trying to stir up drama.
Sus. Very sus.
Gonna need some evidence. I understand not liking an editor's work, but "trust me, bro" doesn't work when you're trying to malign someone's reputation in public.
