If you had to limit your collection to one release year, what would it be? Nonsensical, but a fun question. I'd probably have to go with 1995. So many of my favorites were crammed into that year, this one included:

I could never really get into any of his music, but I could listen to this guy talk for hours. Such an inspiring dude.

Everyone has to have a favorite Beatles album, right? I think George Harrison's songs were the best of the band's songs, and this record has more contributions from him than any of the others.

I remember being so surprised when I first heard this. If it wasn't for her unmistakable voice, I would have thought it was another band. Great record 👍

This is one where you either get it or you don't. Masterpiece as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not really into black metal-style vocals, but these guys have grown on me. After giving this album a few tries, it's finally clicked. Really impressed with their KEXP performance... Recommend.

I think this is their best. One of my top albums, really.

I can't even find this one on CD. At least not at a reasonable price. I really hope Alan can get the rights to those early recordings returned to him. Probably little hope of a repress until that happens.

This record contains quite possibly my favorite closing track of all time. Such a great album.

At least Bandcamp is actively purging it. I tend to go there for recommendations more often these days.

I'll have to give that album another shot. I'm finding that as I get older, I have more patience for albums I dismissed in my youth. I've rediscovered several recently.

I do for sure. The strongest reactions are usually attached to those "coming of age" years. For me, it's mid-90s to early 2000s. Time is a bitch.

Sounds like a core memory. I wouldn't exist for another 4 years, but I appreciate the aesthetic you paint 👍

XTRMNTR is one of my favorites. Top 20 for sure, which is strange given that I never got into any other Primal Scream album.

Whoever paid $1.00 for this got quite a deal. The sound quality on this one is so good.

Interesting. From Johnstown of all places.

I have that one on CD, and the quiet parts are just SO quiet. I find it hard to listen to mainly for that reason. I'm assuming the dynamic range is less dramatic on the vinyl version-- perhaps I should look for that.

I oscillate between this and Rock Action being my favorite of theirs. Prolific band.

Agree. I first heard this on the Kids movie soundtrack (a movie I'll never watch again, but one of my favorite soundtracks). Discovered Spiderland shortly after that. Somehow, the symbolism of this particular song was lost on me for like 30 years.
