Big companies will complain if they’re forced to provide better service, saying it will lead to price rises.

You know who’s good at customer service? Small local businesses. Maybe it’s not a bad thing if they’re given an advantage.

Seriously, customer service is an issue that resonates with everyone.

Companies are intentionally making it difficult to get help, hoping you give up rather than fight the system.

They are fortifying these systems with automation and AI, while removing crucial entry level jobs from the economy.

My whole political platform:

If a company makes a mistake, and you notify a front-line employee (via chat, email, phone, or in person), the company is required to resolve the issue within one week, otherwise a full refund is issued for any related product.

“We’ll require original notarised paper receipts and bank statements from the last 3 months.”

“I was double charged”

“Oh. I can’t help with that. You need to call this number.”

“Out working hours are Tues-Thurs 1am-3am.”

“Our wait time is 2 hours.”

“Oh, that’s via another company, let me transfer you.” *click* *silence* *call mysteriously ends 20 minutes later*

I waste _so much time_ on calls and chats to customer support with large companies trying to resolve mistakes they made. Is it just me?
