The Lunar New Year celebrations continued in the evening as the Hong Kong community gathered for a bring and share event, featuring a ‘Fai Chun’ session.

Guests included #Maidenhead MP @joshuareynoldssl6.bsky.social who gave a speech, spoke with attendees and took part in the calligraphy session.

On Saturday, I attended the #Maidenhead Lunar New Year celebration, featuring the Lion Dance parade by Eagle Claw Kung Fu School.

Farmers protest inheritance tax changes through tractor rally in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire A dozen tractors made their way through Berkshire and Buckinghamshire towns on Saturday to protest against the Government’s changes to inheritance tax.

Local farmers were out protesting the Government’s planned changes to inheritance tax last weekend.

A total of 12 tractors took part in the rally which stretched from Staines to #Windsor, #Maidenhead and #Marlow and saw them speak with four MPs.

Royal Borough council pedals back on Maidenhead High Street cycling restrictions Cabinet members gave the green light to amend a public space protection order (PSPO) to allow cyclists to use the pedestrianised part of Maidenhead High Street during certain times.

Historic Maidenhead prep school set for closure at the end of summer term The parent company for Highfield Prep School has insisted it is unsustainable for it to remain open beyond the summer – amid declining pupil numbers and the introduction of VAT to fees.

Chatsworth Schools informed parents in a letter in January that Highfield Prep School in #Maidenhead is due to close at the end of the summer term. They cited declining pupil numbers and the introduction of VAT on school fees as some of the reasons.
