In recent years, trust in #science has been challenged. Interestingly, this study across 68 countries in @nature.com found that most people trust scientists, and think that they should engage more in #society and #policy making. A clear call to increase #sciencecommunication efforts.

One of my favourite science comedy shows was Brainiac. It was the innovative concept that made it special. If you want to develop your own science show, I think you need to come up with a crazy idea that is just funny in itself.

Yesterday I enjoyed a communication workshop with the mighty @fintanburke.com as part of our outreach strategy for the iWAYS project. He provided a toolkit for the engineers and scientists to guide them how to create additional materials like video abstracts when they publish a scientific paper.
