You're not "stupid" for being empathic. Many trauma survivors are unusually emotionally intelligent-- but our abusers can't let us acknowledge a strength. So they aggressively frame it as weakness: "stupid," "weak," "oversensitive," "fragile," blah blah.

Don't bite. Remember.
