If you were banned, you'd get a reason stated on your account. Usually with a length and reason. This can occur if say you harassed someone using the site like in sq chat or disc or used a transphobic slur as your display name as a friend did at a point (she was and is trans but still ;-;)

Not necessarily. Orgs on the site do have the ability to ban at will, preventing users from signing up. Just a matter of it being very rare for someone to be straight up banned from the WHOLE site for something they do outside of it.

Bad phrasing by me. Not necessarily illegal. Just iffy. It's a really dangerous game to play if you have sendou staff do bans outside of the site and server both for the risk of abuse of power by and harassment towards the staff

It's complicated since from a legal perspective, they can't. Even when Miky basically doxxed grey he was only banned from tourneys run by sendou himself (though other orgs followed up). It's kinda hard to have something set without a group solely dedicated to it and SSC clearly doesn't cut it
