to me, someone who harms a community is someone who actively fosters negativity through harassment,bigotry,etc. someone who unapologetically hurts others, who gains support through harmful behavior, who may manipulate others into defending or emulating them: my short idea of harm. what is it to you?

i think there are many different methods of Harm that we are struggling to define. but i dont understand how the difference of gameplay affects a community, i feel if anything, a 4v4 team game has more potential for escalation in division since more people may easily burn each other by association

i do not understand, i thought youve said a few times that you were talking ab joy & his use of language in his thread & replies being inaccessible.
but i think that Dialogue is necessary to unmask unclear info, intentions may not always be clear initially, dialogue should foster equal understanding

yeah i think telling anyone they should not feel a certain way or they are wrong to be upset about something does not help much. i dont know a lot about the suspension system but it seems like many people had a problem with it, and maybe there is a way that can be communicated in an organized way

do they need to be rewritten by someone, for people to interpret the same concepts differently? or can we engage with the source & try to understand what they mean and their intentions? i think calling it word spaghetti is equally inconsiderate of potentially kind ideas that we can work with

why dont you think its possible? do you think its invalid to fear? from joys thread it looks like he is afraid for it, i dont belive its Entirely unlikely. it came from Division of the community, which is what we are seeing Here in splatoon. i think joy wants the community to thrive which is not bad

yeah i think that can be hard to not have a visceral reaction to esp in a community of ppl who are hurt by that. but it sounds to me like 'republican rhetoric' can be used by Anyone as a divisive style of communication. if you ignore the words, 'republican rhetoric', do you think he is still wrong ?

hey so when this happens to me i usually try to engage in good faith and ask the person questions so they can clarify what they mean if i am confused by their language, and usually we can come to a better understanding of each other and see the ways we are alike instead of different , it helps a lot
