With Thanksgiving and work datelines I had missed last episode and Stephen King’s post reminded me of the great weekend ahead :)

Yes, my book launch and episode 6 of Welcome to Derry are today! And episode 7 tomorrow ! :)

It only took four of us making a two-minute public comment about the library at the city council meeting for the councilors to restore the funding the mayor’s office had cut.

It’s as if the universe is celebrating with me: I’m having my book launch today (Cosplayed to Death is a procedural/semi-cozy mystery about how we appear in the world) and will return home with a giant pizza to watch today and tomorrow!

Worldbuilding is so fun! My favorite part is setting up clues and weaving the plot together in my mysteries. There’s something so satisfying about hiding little details in plain sight and watching it all come together in the end.

Also, it can really help to read other memoirs, so you’ll get a sense of how people shape their experiences into a story and find your own style in the process.

You might start by deciding if you want to write it for yourself or for others to read; as a memoir or fiction, and if you’d want to self-publish or go the traditional route. Maybe take a writing class (memoir or not). Check your public library, they often have free classes/provide local resources.
