Even though acknowledging historical errors and internal contradictions in the Bible is an important part of my Christianity, I have a hard time believing that my form of Christianity would be treated equally to Evangelicalism (which is ironically deeply heretical by some historic standards).

I've seen "Truth and Reconciliation" used generically for this (modeled on the Commission), as well as seeming derivatives like "Reconciling History." I don't think there is a standardized term for it in English. You do see similar approaches and purposes in "People's History," though

I am as repulsed as anyone by generative AI, and the proliferation of AI slop is definitely concerning. That said, we really need to be careful to distinguish between machine learning in general and specifically generative AI. Computers are pretty good at some boring things! They can help scholars

Though I am quite enjoying this reading, I do tire of hearing how many thousand pounds someone has got and I will henceforth, as an act of American rebellion, be mentally substituting pallets of baked beans for thousands of pounds.

Finished Mansfield Park. Too many thoughts to decide which one might be right, but I did thoroughly enjoy the book. Next up Persuasion, then I think Emma, and I think I'll finish with Northanger Abbey (but I might reread Pride and Prejudice just to have done them all in a year).
