Reading Ursula LeGuin's novel The Dispossessed which was written in 1974 and the way one character justifies atrocious political violence by appeal to traditional masculinity is really underscoring for me how much the present situation follows an old script.

The session structure was 10-15 min to present a hot take + 15-20 minutes for discussion. They didn't all list list their hot takes at the top and the takes were intentionally not printed in the program! Hope the payoff was worth it in the end. 😂 I didn't expect so much authorship stuff.
