Anton Bruckner - Symphony No. 4 "Romantic" - Herbert Blomstedt - Wiener Philharmoniker (live 2017)
YouTube video by Soffronitsky Anton Bruckner - Symphony No. 4 "Romantic" - Herbert Blomstedt - Wiener Philharmoniker (live 2017)

I didn’t manage to find one and not sure full version exists. There is a full recording with him and Wiener from 2017 (audio). Here is the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVd8...

Ich habe Sie auf ihren Stammplatz gesucht aber eine Hallo zu sagen aber leider nicht gefunden. Viel Spaß in Berlin!

Stimme ich zu. Ich fand noch Ruslan und Ludmila interessant, weil ich diese Oper noch nie gesehen habe

In Rome. Have had probably the most boring Scheherezade with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. But I don’t blame the orchestra as they were technically great. however, the conductor needs to breathe with the orchestra. Lead them. Excite them. alas, Tugan Sokhiev did none.

This was exceptional. So much passion, raw energy, fire and emotion. Absolutely blown away

Swapped Berlin’s gloom for Sevilla’s sunshine β˜€οΈ and decided to catch a flamenco show πŸ’ƒ. Saw one last year in Granada, so curious to compareβ€”will Sevilla bring the same fire? πŸ”₯

3rd evening of 8 of Beethoven cycle by Fabian MΓΌller at the Pierre Boulez Saal. Today it was especially romantic Sonate A-Dur

Production was interesting, but somehow left me cold. And not sure I want to hear this work again.

I agree. I was at the concert and it was full of magic. Very especial. I don’t have the LP but have the CD.

Deleted my twitter today and decided to give Blue sky another shot. Hopefully this place will not become as toxic

Starting today Beethoven Klaviersonaten cycle (8 concert throughout the year) with Fabian MΓΌller in Pierre Boulez Saal. He is performing his own bagatelles before each Beethoven. Love being in this hall. Very intimate atmosphere.

My first time hearing Busoni’s concert for piano, orchestra and men’s choir. Berliner Philharmoniker didn’t perform it since its premiere in 1904. We had Sakari Oramo conducting and Kirill Gerstein piano, and Rundfunkchor Berlin.

Anna Netrebko was on fire yesterday in Nabucco at the Staatsoper Berlin. The applause in the second act after her aria just wouldn’t stop. She was an amazing Abigail and also great orchestra.
I have seen Salsi in a better form. Absolutely useless and mainly static production.

Really liked this production of Respighi’s La Fiamma in Christoph Loy at Deutsche Oper Berlin. Great orchestra by Carlo Rizzi. Still upset that Stundyte cancelled, as I can only imagine how she would have acted the part. Shame that this opera is not performed more often.

What a highlight this was. Berliner Philharmoniker with
Marek Janowski and Augustin Hadelich playing
Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy
Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E minor, op. 64
and
Anton Bruckner
Symphony No. 7 in E major

I am in Kosovo and enjoying it quite a bit. Decided to pick couple of not very touristy destinations in August and so far it really paid of.

In Litomysl for Smetana festival - never heard of this festival before, so very curious about it. Seems to be visited by Czech audience as hardly heard any tourists.

So difficult to watch the news and see these results. And it was so disheartening when I went to vote. There were no people at all. At least in my area Berlin. They thanked me for coming as there was no one else. And sure some vote per post or in advance but last elections I was in line for an hour

And I have already heard this year Bruckner f-Moll and d-Moll symphonies with Thielemann and Berliner.
Definitely Thielemann and Berliner take the lead. Can’t complain

Also decided to try to catch all 9 Bruckner symphonies as it is his 200th birthday anniversary. Managed to book everything but the 6th in 2024. Can hear it next March with Thielemann and the Staatskapelle.

Every year I have used to order several subscriptions with Berliner Philharmoniker. This year I have decided to go for a flex package instead of subscriptions. I think this was a better deal even if discount is much smaller (15% if you book 9 tickets, which I booked) but I could pick all concerts

This was such a great night of music. Marion Cotillard teared up in the end during the applause. If you have a chance to go and see it tomorrow or Sunday do that.
