Thanks! Comparing doses between assays is confounded due to levels of noxious stimuli. Methadone has analgesic effects in tail flick at 1 mg/kg compared to our hot plate/von Frey at 10 mg/kg. Safer to interpret dose–response relationships between drugs within each assay rather than between tests.
