And they're off!! πŸŽ…πŸŽ…

Our Santa’s have started their dash from Stockport after meeting with Navendu Mishra the MP for Stockport for a lovely chat and a coffee.

They'll be jogging and walking from Stockport through Oldham and Tameside today, so if you're in the area, say hello and cheer them on!

The walk started at New Islington tram stop, then heading down and ending the day at the Castleton Viaduct Community Garden.

Happy News Did you know? As we move towards spring, we’re gaining around 3.5 minutes of daylight every day! That’s nearly 25 extra minutes of sunshine each week. We’re getting there!

For some of us, dark mornings and evenings can make us feel really low. The cold, wet, and windy weather can also impact our mood β˜”οΈ
️
The good news is that we're heading towards Spring. And we’re gaining an average of 3.5 minutes of daylight per day🌞

What’s your favourite part about Spring?

Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Each year, it helps friends, families, and communities to have millions of conversations about mental health.

It can be hard to open up sometimes, but today: sit down, have a brew, and have a chat to a friend or a family member.

A handwritten note on an orange background reads "How are you?" followed by multiple responses, with some phrases crossed out. The responses range from expressing deep struggles and grief to more socially acceptable answers like "I'm alright!" and "I appreciate you checking in :)". The text conveys the difficulty of being honest about emotions while grieving. The Instagram handle "@glimpseofarainbow" is written at the bottom.

Sometimes when friends and family tell you they’re doing alright, we might have to read between the lines to find out how they’re really feeling.

Thanks so much to glimpseofarainbow for their fantastic illustration.

🎭 Can You Name That Feeling? 🎭

This #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek, let’s help kids develop self-awareness by learning to name their emotions!

πŸ‘‰ Activity: Draw emojis for different emotions like happy, sad, or excited and discuss when they feel this way.
πŸ’‘ Growth starts with understanding how we feel!

A great way to prioritise your wellbeing and mental health is by using a mood journal to record how you feel each day and why.

It is a useful tool to be able to understand patterns in how we feel, when, and why.
Give it a try this #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek!
