Photographers of BSky -- I'm thinking of doing a shoot using UV-reactive paints and makeup. So far, I've got a couple web sites with recommendations on equipment, especially the UV lights themselves.

They sometimes mention a band-pass filter, but don't go into much detail. Useful, or not?

I'm back from a couple weeks in Oregon, where my wife and I rented a lovely condo in the beach in Newport, visited friends, did several escape rooms, and ate _so_ much clam chowder. I also managed to fit in a photo shoot with a friend i haven't worked with in years. Best. Trip. Ever.

Yeah, I've learned a lot about programmable LEDs and running them from microcontrollers. So, all I have to figure out to build a light stick is how to mount them. And a UI. And power. And getting them bright, but maybe diffused. And designing and building a case... πŸ˜…

A couple years ago, I started thinking about trying light painting, couldn't easily find good tools, started learning electronics to maybe build my own, went down a rabbit hole of other projects, and never actually did it.
