Do they assign homework? This is a monumental step. By ensuring you’re getting what you need your giving your self the best therapy experience. Any therapist would want that for their client! As a therapist - I wouldn’t be offended I was asked these questions and have answers to them!

Definitely! Share only what you’re comfortable with. Use the time as an interview for them too. Suss out if you feel safe and trust them. Feel free to ask: their experience, if they’ve worked with someone like you before, values as a therapist, are they experiential or mostly talk therapy.
