I've used that disconnect between realistic bases and the model on purpose many times, like a modern frame on a classic painting. BTW your stuff looks amazing!

I started this project almost 5 years ago and it's been a passion project for sure. I think I have 300+ painted models mainly Van Saar necromander models, loosely based on a Dune - Freman from the 1984 movie. I have a few more to go
