can't wait to one day implement tri-color rooted GC

still planning on working on naΓ―ve one next stream

I think I'll make it as a generic GC and kinda similar to SpiderMonkey (Firefox JS engine, API wise)

going to be interesting, and then integrate it in my scheme dialect!

instead of reading, I've been digging through my neovim config once more

maybe I should improve it a little no?

just so I am closer to finally posting dotfiles πŸ˜‚

Time to continue, hopefully today I will have more time to clear more chapters :3c

I'm reading it like 3rd time already
I hardly remember where I ended but I know it wasn't even 1/4th

This time, I'm following through the whole thing

and also because I'm bored

Rust may not be my thing, I don't like it much

but I'm going to learn it either way, it's def a valuable skill to have

I may possibly even take some things from it here and there to improve my C projects, etc

but also that my values aren't really managed by the GC, only expressions are

so I may have to put values on the heap

I'll likely need a rooted GC to simplify things

I was watching this talk, it was recommended to me by a friend:

which made me realize what I did wrong in the first place

I have finally sat working on fixing the Scheme interpreter

managed to:
- Simplify code
- Keep behavior (closures, high order functions, recursion)
- fix if/cond

yes, I really like how modular it is and many more things about it

Linux desktop is what I am not so fond of, but luckily on X11 I can solve my problem with Xephyr

05.08.2025 06:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

but I'll try to make the Window Manager myself

04.08.2025 17:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

or rather configure DWM to be in monocle layout, have only 1 workspace and automatically spawn window

04.08.2025 17:19 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I had enough with Linux desktop

I'll add arg parsing to my PNG tubing app and add --xephyr

so that when I decide to stream the window in OBS, my window manager doesn't unmap it

and I'll pack the tiniest window manager which will be helper for it
