Excellent post. Violent extremists on the left complaint endlessly on this site (and other social media) about how the left has no power in the Democratic Party. The right complains about the left and so-called “ wokeness” from government podiums.

The reason Republicans need violence is their ideas are weak. Tariffs are stupid, vaccines saves millions of lives, people deserve basic rights, pedophiles belong the fuck in jail.

But since their ideas are utter nonsense, they have to lean on violence and fomenting division.

It’s all they’ve got.

Yep

It was invented to protect the pursuit of power of one man: a dim-witted child rapist who became a violent extremist simply because selling his dark vision of America was the only way his corrupt, soulless ass could stay out of jail.

11.09.2025 13:54 — 👍 595    🔁 86    💬 10    📌 1

And the most pathetic part of all is that none of it is necessary. Violent crime is down. Everywhere. This is all INVENTED.

So it’s clear what they want and it’s not peace. They want a justification for more violence. They want a bloody shirt they can point to and say, “See? THIS is why there are thugs in the streets in masks. THIS is why we must end the American experiment in democracy.”

But they’ve already given him (and we all know it’s a him not a her) an identity: the faceless embodiment of everything they hate and fear with a clearly coordinated messaging campaign to call him a Democrat.

THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO THE SHOOTER IS, yet they are ignoring the obvious tell-tale signs of a professional killer who clearly had a highly-trained military background, and the fact that these guys tend to be right wing nut jobs with an obscure axe to grind.

The most sickening part of this whole ordeal is the excitement you see in Republicans, how quickly they moved past any respect for the dead, any reflection on the environment they helped foster, straight into who should be murdered next.

I’m genuinely sad the man died. Not because I agreed with a word he said but because he was a misguided person who was himself caught up in the culture of violence.

He deserved to be shouted down for his backward ideas, not murdered.

There are masked thugs running through the streets dragging people out of cars at gunpoint.

There was an attempted violent coup at the Capitol building brought on by the President himself.

Hell he threatened to invade an American city just FOUR DAYS AGO.

Every single major Democratic politician condemned the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Meanwhile, before EVEN KNOWING WHO THE SHOOTER WAS, the Republican president gave a speech calling for VIOLENCE against Democrats.

There are violent extremists on the left but they are not in charge of the party. You can find them on social media, not in the halls of power.

The violent extremists on the right are in congress, on courts, and sitting in the Oval Office.

A little like when Trump wanted to just stop testing for Covid because there was too much Covid and so he wanted to just suppress the numbers.

Just got an email asking me if I'd like to platform Jake Tapper on my podcast to help him sell another book. It took everything in me to respond with a polite fuck no. But what's fun is that corporate media folk know they can get more engagement on an independent podcast than they can on CNN.

As Floods Hit, Key Roles Were Vacant at Weather Service Offices in Texas

There were a lot of folks here insisting yesterday that weather service cuts had no impact on Texas flood deaths. There’s zero way you can draw conclusions like hours later. Important follow up here. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/05/u...
