I think they look cool and proportions are nice. Excellent board edges meeting up! The pieces fill the squares, so it may be worth trying a couple that are sized down a step. See how that looks too. That way when people are playing with it they can easily read the playing surface and move pieces.

I followed Major Slacks Attacks (youtuber) walk through videos, and they taught me so much about playing the game that brute force never would have. They are long and can be tedious towards the late late game, but I've come to love that game as an all-time favorite.
