The USS Athena from Star Trek Starfleet Academy soon to be gracing our screens.

@gaghyogi49.bsky.social I've noticed something #StarTrek related. The USS Athena in #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy looks very close to the Matt Jefferies concept of the USS Enterprise before it became the iconic look we know and love.

I love that the Captain's chair on the bridge of the USS Adventure in "The Last Frontier" in #StarTrekSNW's "A Space Adventure Hour" uses a real 1960s chair at its core, just like the Captain's chair on the original Enterprise on #StarTrekTOS. :-)

Here are all of the shots of the USS Adventure (of "The Last Frontier"-fame), seen in #StarTrekSNW's "A Space Adventure Hour". Notice the middle image in the third collage is flipped horizontally, something we have also seen on #StarTrekTNG and other shows. ;-) I'd love a model of this ship"!

Here are two shots of the #TOS Enterprise bridge from the excellent new Roddenberry Archive documentary "Lost Voyages: Phase II and the Rebirth of Star Trek" released today. Using my bridge overhead display research, I can conclude that the bridge is shown as it appeared in "The Galileo Seven". :-)

The monitoring pin for the holodeck program on La'An's neck in #StarTrekSNW's "A Space Adventure Hour"↖️ seems to be similar, in function + placement, to the different types of cortical monitors seen in several later #StarTrekVOY episodes like "The Fight"↗️, "Imperfection"↙️ and "Regression"↘️.

Originally, the ready room couch ("The Naked Now") was built as a daybed that could be pulled out of the wall when Captain Picard wanted to take a nap. This is confirmed by the set blueprints (courtesy of archive.frogland.co.uk). In the end, this feature was never seen on screen, though.🧵 1/5

First thing that came to my mind when I saw the Agonyan bridge in #StarTrekSNW's "A Space Adventure Hour"⬆️ wasn't the 1960/70s but rather the 22nd century Xyrillian holodeck in #StarTrekENT's "Unexpected"➡️ and the interior of the 26th century time travel pod in #StarTrekTNG's "A Matter of Time"⬇️. 😅

One small detail in #StarTrekSNW's "A Space Adventure Hour" are the retro magnetic tape reels on the USS Adventure bridge. They feature the Lomond Picture Studios logo ⬆️ also seen later in the episode on TK Bellows' contract ⬇️. :-)
