Also not saying that grey or anyone else meant to disband all teams ofc, just to be clear. I think he meant a middle way for everyone to be more adaptable to whoever you're playing with and with heavier emphasis on individual skill

Like after the heated discussion calmed down I'm now thinking about how western top teams managed to have competitive games against jp even tho their region has a 10x larger amount of players. Sure, the results do not reflect that but these were winnable games/sets.

I find it very interesting how the thesis of "The west is worse than JP because we have teams and not the perfect pickup culture" is being hyped now instead of the "The West is only remotely close to japan because we have teams instead of only pickups" as people said in the past.
