If they voted for Trump, this IS what they voted for. Trump campaigned on imposing tariffs on countries. He’s doing what he said he would do.

I don’t know who will be the leaders and when we will see things start happening… I just hope it happens sooner than later.

Like housing costs and food for families, that allowed hundreds, if not thousands, to actively participate in the movement. Everyone was working towards a common cause, in many capacities, that led to success. I don’t know how to replicate that dedication today. The sacrifices that are part of it. 2

The thing that I have not been able to find a way to do is to build the support community that is needed for sustained civil disobedience. Look at the Civil Rights Movement. When people were marching for days at a time and being arrested, there were many more providing support financially… 1/2

I was dragged away a few times and arrested in the late 90’s… I opted to do community service instead of paying a fine. I offered free workshops, trainings on preparing for civil disobedience. I was surprised that was accepted as community service but I got away with it! 🤣

I did a fair amount of organizing back in the early 2000’s. Was told even then that “no one cares if you march” because it’s a day of action with no follow up. That people in power laughed at our marches. I’m sure that is even more true today. What do you think it will take to mobilize people?

This! An afternoon of marching and chanting will not bring about change. It has to be sustained civil disobedience. There has to be a commitment to action and a willingness to put safety and liberty at risk to carry out civil disobedience. Not sure the masses are ready…

Any advice for people who have chronic illnesses taking pharmaceuticals that are already costly? Insurance won’t allow more than 30 days worth to be prescribed and filled, every 30 days. Will we see shortages? Will we be able to afford our meds in 30 days?

What are some items we should start stocking up on that most people wouldn’t think of?

I love it here in the part of AZ where I live! Like most states, some areas/cities are more welcoming than others. It’s not a red state, but some areas are very conservative. I’m curious, what makes you feel it’s not safe here? Politics or crime?
