I met Catherine O'Hara at a party in 1986. We chatted for a bit and went our separate ways. A couple hours later I hear "Ron, Ron". I turn around and it was Catherine calling me to chat some more. She had remembered my name! I will never forget her, such a wonderful person! RIP Catherine.

A very kind gentleman from Derbyshire emailed me to ask if I had any interest in a sampler he's had on his kitchen wall for 30 years. Turns out it made by my 3rd great aunt! She died 4 years after creating this, at age 16. So nice of him reach out and send a photo!

Sadly, I've just learned that my father's lifelong friend Garth Hudson has passed away at 87 years of age. They were high school friends and played together in a high school band. They would get together whenever possible. Very sad news.

I ended up doing more and more IT for acquisitions and divestitures over the years and moving to the corporate office. I miss it sometimes; I moved into Insurance IT in 2020, more stable. Luckily most of us still stay in touch, met my wife there.

Hi Auriette, I started as a TVA in 1986 with Global Television Network in Toronto, working on games shows, MLB games etc. Then some Newsroom work. Moved to VTR and master control. Next was IT, building the digital newsroom system (Newsmaker). Also helped to build TV3 in Dublin in 1996...

I was about 25 when the show started. There was a large custom black metal box about 2'x2'x2' with 7 computers (+1 spare) and one used as s controller. I have the original H/W docs which goes over startup process & how it all works. It's hard to remember after 37 yrs.
