In order to remain compliant with the law, districts had no choice but to remove access to Youtube, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Translate and the Chrome Web Store for students. It's been a huge burden for teachers and students who have to redesign lessons.

In NY we have a student privacy law called Edlaw2d. NYSED informed NY school districts that certain Google services, categorized as "Additional Services," are not covered under the existing Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) and must be blocked for students. Google refused to alter the DPA.

In New York State, Google Earth and Maps are now blocked for students. As a result, I have been playing around with using 360cities.net and their 360 photos as a replacement for Virtual Field Trip activities.

You are correct. I found in the Settings, a toggle for autoplay videos and gifs.
