I can kinda hand-wave most of the edginess in his games themselves, it doesn't really come off mean-spirited (outside of some of the stuff pointed at Christianity in Isaac but that's fair) and more just immature South Park inspired potty humor absurdity but he's gotta learn to keep that to fiction
