Maybe all of that's coming near the end but not only can I not imagine how any of it would relate to the seemingly-disconnected arcs the game has put me through, the gameplay is so shit that I don't even want to power through it.

I'm maybe halfway through the game and if you just cut out the prologue with the broken Love-de-Gard then so far it's literally just been a normal RPG. None of what made moon mechanically or thematically interesting has been present in the moment-to-moment gameplay.

I think the part of Stray Children that bothers me even more than the awful gameplay so far is the fact that the opening moments directly reference the world of moon Remix RPG adventure, and the gameplay is just bad UNDERTALE, but it's had like no actual commentary on anything

the only parts that have even provided mild intrigue have been the direct allusions to moon remix rpg and aside from that being a cheap tool for investment it's a really bad comparison for quality. this is like if undertale was awful

this is both one of the most boring games i've ever played and also one of the most frustrating games i've ever played. the few charming moments so far have not been strong enough to hold the experience together

why is no one talking about how stray children is unplayable dogshit

Super Mario's tendency to accelerate towards the bottom of the screen is, at best, an artifact of a more primitive era of game design.

At worst, it's a prime example of "fake difficulty": inconveniencing the player to pad out what is already a short, simple experience.
