second clarification because this is the internet, i don’t think being wrong is all that bad, i enjoy speaking to people who disagree with me more than those that do agree!! its more fun, but idk i feel the internet turns disagreements into arguments and manifests aggression where there was none

for clarification i don’t personally see anything wrong with being critical, it doesn’t matter to me how respected someone is, if i think they’re wrong, they’re wrong. i just worry it isn’t proper etiquette or whatever in the media analysis space i inhabit

I remember that going around a few years back, never really took off though? I don't really like the idea that this form of social media is lacking value, it might be now, but it doesn't have to be like that, there was a time where it was better, not perfect but absolutely better.

I've been thinking the same thing, the issue however is not just greedy corporations but also now a lot of government censorship which cannot be avoided by just making a radical new platform

I don't really like bluesky, it has always been a kind of miserable, deeply liberal place to be, and with the recent suspending of trans women and vague adult content policies that has only become more obvious, but hey, at least it isn't twitter. Shockingly low bar.
