I keep thinking about a vid by @parkroseperma.bsky.social about the need for artists in the movement. She's 100% right. Art is important, and not only for marketing purposes. It can also help us to envision futures and ways of being outside of the neoliberal box.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree with that one. People forget that checks and balances only work if the people in the positions to enforce them actually do so.

Chuck Schumer just axed his book tour. One of the most entrenched powerful men in the Senate did that because the People got loud and pissed off. Do not let anyone fool you into thinking that we The People are not in charge. We run these rich fucks when we claim our power. We can stop this coup.

I think Trump is what my mother would call "daft t'right road," or in other words, smart in a way that ultimately benefits them. He also has expert manipulators too. But I think people have consistently underestimated him since he first showed up, and that's a mistake.
