Day 18 post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery morning exercises. No matter how well I do the previous day, I wake up SO tight and it almost feels defeating…but I won’t give up! I WILL get back to running!

Day 17 post #TotalKneeRecovery Surgery morning recovery PT exercises. Long day out yesterday so I’m feeling really tight this morning. I still have ZERO regrets on this surgery.

Day 16 post #TotalKneeReplacement Surgery morning exercises. I added a new one and may have overdone it because I’m feeling some pain. Used Tylenol PM last night, instead of just Tylenol and slept well!

Full day today, including excruciating PT and Coaching first Track & Field practice of the season meaning I’ve been on Austin (name for my knee) all day. Swelling isn’t bad and stitches look pretty good. I have PT again at 7 in the morning. I’m going to be EXHAUSTED tomorrow! #TotalKneeReplacement

Day 14/2 Week post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery thoughts…

Day 14/ 2 Weeks post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery. Today will be a busy day including in-patient PT and I got out of the house for a bit yesterday. Trying to test out Austin (knee name😝).

Day 13; Didn’t sleep well again so got up around 5 and did my morning post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery exercises.

Still Day 12 post #TotalKneeReplacement Surgery; My at home PT exercises and working on walking with the cane.

Thought I would do a #TotalKneeReplacemnt Recovery Day 12 Update!

Didn’t sleep well last night so I gave up and decided to get up and start the day. I’m tired and Austin (what I named my new knee…as in the, “Six Million Dollar Man, Steve Austin” aka, “The Bionic Man”) EXTRA tight should make today interesting.

Day 11 post #TotalKneeReplacement Surgery and after yesterday’s first in-patient PT, my knee feels different. It isn’t as swollen and I have hope one day I’ll be running long distance again.

Today at my first In-Patient PT I did receive lots of praise on how I’m doing which helped to quiet the inner voice that keeps yelling at myself. I got flexion of 85° and straightened to 8°. Not bad for just 10 days post #TotalKneeReplacement

The captions in the video say it all. Later today I have my first in-patient PT (I’ve been doing At-Home PT). Yesterday I had my CPR recertification class and those two hours took a LOT out of me. It was a reminder I am at the BEGINNING of my #TotalKneeReplacement Recovery and to give myself grace.

First week of post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery my ROMTech machine was set for 12 minutes (8 minutes Passive - it moves for me; 4 minutes Active - I do the work). Now at the start of my second week, I have “graduated” to this. I do this five times a day on top of my walks and PT.

Day 8 post #TotalKneeReplacement Surgery and I woke up VERY tight so I’ll be working on my bend all day. I just want to say, Thank You to all of you who have reached out with such encouraging words. I am blessed.

Day 7 post #TotalKneeReplacement and FINALLY slept well last night but that means my knee is VERY stiff (because it didn’t move all night), so this morning’s exercises were tight. I have At Home PT later today.

Day 6 Post #TotalKneeReplacementSurgery and the Roughest night yet, including me fainting twice in minutes.

Day 5 post #TotalKneeReplacement and my swelling isn’t too bad at all.

Day 2 post #TotalKneeReplacement surgery and I slept SOOOOO much better since I used the polar cube. Later today I have At Home PT and I get to use my ROM Therapy machine for the first time. #BionicKnee
